10th Annual MER Conference September 23 - 25, 2002 in Chicago

September 23 - 25, 2002 in Chicago

Dear colleagues: Please excuse and ignore cross postings. Bob Williams, President of Cohasset Associates asked me if I would post this message. This is unsolicited, and regrettably I won't even be able to make it myself this year as I will just be returning from several engagements in Australia, but I can say from personal past experience having been to many of them as a speaker or participant that I think you will be very glad that you made this conference. It is always a great conference, outstanding au courant speakers, a solid agenda of top ER issues and always an excellent group of nicely mixed private and public sector participants willing to share their business recordkeeping experience. I know that none of us goes to conferences for the venue or “networking receptions,” but -- what can I say about that -- Bob really knows how to do it up.

Regards,

Rick Barry

Advance Registrations indicate MER 2002 will be the largest MER

"Registrations for the tenth National Conference on Managing Electronic Records (MER) indicate that this years MER will be the largest ever" according to the Conference Co-Chair, Robert F. Williams. This is the tenth year of this limited attendance conference - and every year (except for 01 due to 9/11) the MER has been sold out.

New this year, the 27 conference sessions are organized according to eleven (11) specific themes:

1. Best Practices
2. Case Studies
3. Concepts
4. Digital Preservation
5. e-Records Discovery
6. Getting Started
7. How To Do
8. Legal Focus
9. Operational Focus
10. Recent Research
11. Technical Focus

The MER 2002 Conference program includes:

- 40+ outstanding speakers
- 27 informative sessions
- 4 in-depth all day pre-conference tutorials
- A truly extraordinary keynote address

In addition, there will be two of the MER's highly successful Networking Receptions as well as problem-solving exhibitor suites.

Register NOW & Avoid Being Disappointed!

As the MER is a limited attendance conference, advance registration is required.  Do not miss the only national conference exclusively focused on managing electronic records.  Register now and avoid possible disappointment later.

Available space at the conference hotel is now very limited.  Fortunately, there are several other good value hotels very near by.  If you need assistance with your hotel needs, contact the MER Conference Administrator, Chris Glatz at:
mer@cohasset.com  or (800) 200-7667

Exhibitors

In addition to the outstanding conference program, MER attendees will have an opportunity to meet with many select solution providers who will be exhibiting in suites at the conference hotel.
